DYNO RESULTS 10/20/99 Welcome to my webpage. My name is Dave Schultz and I am a Fire Control Chief in the US Navy. I have been in the service for 21 years. The following pages are dedicated to my main hobby....my 1991 Mustang GT convertible. I purchased my car new in the summer of 1991 in Marlton NJ and weeks later I noticed that the car had acid rain damage to the paint. After some phone calls to the dealer, they agreed to repaint the car. Ricks Auto body in Berlin NJ repainted the car in Sikkens red code EP paint and boy did it look good. The car remained stock for the first year and then the performance bug hit. I did the usual stuff...pullies, exhaust, TB, MAF, etc... and just was not satisfied with the minimal gains from these boltons. I transfered to San Diego California to serve aboard the Gudied missle destroyer "Curtis Wilbur" in the winter of 1993. Living in Southern California and having a convertible is the best....I can drive my car year round! During a deployment to the Persian gulf I saved my tax free money and bought a set of heads, cobra intake and a BBK Instacharger. I bought the BBK because I had an AOD and was looking for that instant throttle response that the AOD cars lack. I was quite pleased with the BBK and it made great power. I ran that combo for almost 3 years and in that time I swapped a Tremec into the car....this is probably my favorite mod I have done to the car. In the spring of 97 I pulled everything out of the engine bay and had the heads ported by ESI in San Diego. It was while the car was down that I started my engine bay cleanup. I started by relocating all wiring to the fendewells and then polished everything that would possibly take a shine....the BBK blower was by far the biggest challenge.I also added a Cervini Stormin Norman hood and Stalker front fascia during this time. I got the car back on the road in about 6 weeks and was happy until the power bug hit again. The wheels were spinning and I decided upon a 347 stroker built around a 15lb Vortech S trim. I started my build up in January 98 and the engine was finally completed in March. This car is the ultimate street car now!!! It has the looks, handles fantastic, makes outstanding power and the drivability of a stocker.Best of all everything was done in my garage with the help of a few friends. Below is a list of my current combo. I have since built a A4 block based 347, the old combo was living on the edge of a stock blocks limitations. I hope you enjoy the site, thanks Dave Engine ...
