The new design of this puma was created to rival the latest Renault- the Clio 172, which comes with a re-tuned 1.7l maxi engine, which pumps out a shocking 172Bhp. Along with this clio come all extras, including sports trim, bucket seats and 17" alloys.
Ford's answer to the 172 is not only a great reply to renault, but a slap in the face, with the puma having 12bhp disadvantage it still reaches 60mph 2 seconds quicker - and has a top speed of 139mph, compaired the the Clio's of 124mph.
The Puma has been clevery priced as well, with a production price of £18,995 it should compete nicely if not take the market away from the £17,495 Clio. |
