If you feel the need for speed
This page is dedicated to all those bevel-booted adrenaline addicts that get high on good old-fashioned horsepower. Loads of it...
Why? Isn't it obvious: the difference between men and boys is the speed of their toys?
Right? Not exactely. Thing is that todays supersportbikes are equipped with extreme big
exhaust mufflers that produce a noise that resembles (at best!) a blender at high speed.
However, wat wé want is a fast bike with a sound that resembles, well...a fast bike!
So, wat we did is this: we took a GSXR1100 and made it sound like a real 155hp bike
should: scary! Loud and wild. Astonishing people. Making people aware that this bike has power,
potential.
And it sure as hell changed the bike!
Todays it runs at least 15 km/h faster,up to a solid 300 km/h, chrono!. Torque has significantly improved, as well as power at high rpm.
It revs high and hard, and now makes a sound that's electrifying.
Of course it's not heaven. Now we have to put up with dreadfull powerwheelies and massive wheelspin.
And it's all a bit less social.
God! Isn't life great?
Purple you say? Indeed. But we've made them in gold as well. And bleu, silver, black, red.
Or a combination of whatever colour you'd like. Bleu combined with black looked surprisingly
beautiful on a Fireblade, and made the bike sound awfully powerfull (which it is now!).
What about carbon fibre? Sorry, no deal! It won't last. No matter what they tell/ promise/ assure you.
After a while (real...) carbon canisters start to peel off, due to heat in combination with vibrations
and the use of polyester or epoxy that isn't quite up to the job.
It can be done though. But it 'll cost a fortune.
