Volvo 745 Ti

Ever since Volvos went into production in the late 1920s, they have been building a foundation of values to which they still uphold today. They have built a reputable name in the auto industry for being the safest, most reliable cars on the road.

Misconceptions have led people to believe that Volvos are slow, lethargic vehicles. However, during the early 1980s, Volvo started building a new engine that would prove the public wrong. Volvo showed that a car could be safe, reliable, and also fun. Now that we are into the new Millennium, Volvo is still feeling the need for speed with the lightning quick 5-cylinder turbo, and smooth 6-cylinder twin-turbo.

My focus lies in the slightly older turbo Volvos. In 1990, Volvo revamped their already race proven 4-cylinder turbo, creating the Generation III B230FT. These engines found their homes in the 740 and 760 Turbo automobiles.
