This is a page that I am starting to construct as a tribute to the Renault Fuego. It will include pictures and some sounds soon to give you an idea of what this European sports car looks and sounds like. My Grandfather recantly purchased a 1985, 2.2 Liter Fuego. It has a 5 speed manual transmittion and a HUGE electric sunroof that extends from the windshield to just past the back seats. It needs a little work on the engine and brakes, but the body and interior condition is super and there's a hell of a lot of room for loging things around with. It has power steering, with an ajustable steering wheel height. A conviniant placing of the pedals and seats make it a joy to drive. And with the car being only a ton and a quarter, the 130 HP plus engine really makes the little car scoot! The sound system isn't half bad with a pair of 1 inch tweeters mounted on the dash on either side of the steering wheel. A pair of 5 inch medium range speakers on the passenger and driver door panels, and a pair of 3 inch medium range speakers mounted just above the arm rests of the back seats. The stereo is a AM/FM Cass player which is compact but powerful, it also is so cost effective, it doesn’t have an eject button. (Which scared the shit outta me when I put a tape in it and wanted it back. I frantically started pressing all the buttons and found that to eject a tape you press the F/F + R/W buttons.) Well that's about all for now… I'l be updating my page again when I get my photos developed.
Here are a few links to keep you busy untill I update again.
