Welcome to Phil's M 3 site

My BMW M3

Yes, this is was my very own BMW M3. The 3.0 l 6 cylinder engine has a maximum power output of 286 hp / 210 kw (DIN). Although this is a 1994 model and therefore not as powerful as its successor which featured a 3.2 liter engine producing 320 hp / 236 kw (DIN), it's a very dynamic car providing enough power to offend any tree huggers.

The current M 3, based on the BMW E46 platform, is even more powerful. The output of it's 3.3 l engine is 343 hp / 252 kw.

My BMWM 3

I purchased my 1994 BMW M3 Coupe at Emmenegger Power, Alpnach, Switzerland, on April 24, 1999. The car then had roughly 70,000 km on the dashboard. The sad part is that on December 23 that same year, I hit a crash barrier on the freeway on my way to work. The damage (on the car, not on the barrier) was so severe that what was left from the car was not worth being restored.

Apart from the standard equipment, which includes safety features such as anti lock brakes and dual air bags as well as an electronic diagnosis system to detect any malfunctions, my car features black leather seats, front seat heating, automatic air condition, remote control central locking, on-board computer and a CD player (I will add some pictures of the car's interior to the picture gallery in the near future).

All these toys are, of course, fading away when you turn the key and listen to the one piece of equipment that makes this car so much fun to drive - the engine.

To have a look at my car, just go to the picture gallery.
