This is my feeble attempt at a webpage. It centers around my bike, which is pictured here in nearly its current state. It's constantly being modified to make it unique, like everyone else does. I'll list the modifications and details, which may be of interest to other R1 owners, if nobody else. |

Vance & Hines SS2R slip-on: |
|
|
Looks good, sounds nice, and it's much smaller and lighter than the stock monstrosity. I had the bike jetted when I had it installed, but there are those who'd tell you it's not necessary. It adds 3-4 hp. You can gain as much as 10-15 with a full system, but frankly, I put it on for its aesthetic value. The bike is more than fast enough for me. |

Helibars: |

I found the stock clip-ons to be torturous for longer trips and when stuck in traffic. The Helibars are a little higher, wider, and closer to the rider - less than two inches in each direction, but they made a significant improvement in riding comfort for me. |

After a couple of minor headshake incidents, I sprung for the damper. This one has twenty settings, and I leave it at halfway when riding around town. It cost about $300, and installation was a headache - not much room for error without hitting the guages or fairing. |

Solo Seat Cowl: |

This is an official Yamaha product. It should cost you around $175. Realistically, this bike is made for one rider, and the cowl looks much better than the postage stamp-sized passenger seat. |

I went with the lighter smoke for some contrast with the black. It's not like you need to see through it. |

Dussault Undertail: |

A must for R1s - great looking tail with integrated turn signals and recessed taillights. |
