1960 VW DOUBLE DOOR BUS

I have a 1960 double door Volkswagon Bus that I am restoring. There is not much of it that is left stock. Actually, there is an interesting story behind it, which I will outline on HISTORY page.
I'm an "old clunker" myself, and restoring my "old clunker" of a bus is my retirement project. This page will be a sort of "virtual journal" of my experiences (good and bad) with the poor old thing.
I have just begun this page, so it is still under construction. But in the future I plan to have information on the problems I have come across, with finding parts and just plain people who know about the workings of these old VW buses!
I will eventually have "before, during and after" pictures, on their own page.. Right now I have limited axcess to a scanner, so they will be slow coming. But they will get here!!
I also plan to include links to the most informative VW BUS sites I've found. I hope that some of my experiences with this project can help someone who is in the same predicament I'm in... In over his head and pulling out what little hair is left, over an old VW Bus.
