Well, Mark's having a rough start to the year, but it
can only get better from here... On to Vegas! Good luck to Mark and the
#6 team...
Mark and the Roush Racing #6 team finished 2nd in points
in the Winston Cup Series in 2002. From 1989 to 1999, Mark was the only driver
to finish 6th or higher in the Winston Cup point standings. Mark also made
a name for himself in the Busch series, taking a series record 45 checkered
flags from 1987 until he retired from the series in 2000. All in all Martin
ran 199 races during that span, collecting 126 top 10 and 96 top-five finishes.
During that period Martin won 23 percent of all the Busch races he entered
and finished inside the top-10 64% of the time.
