My name is Christopher Rumble but my friends call me Rumble. I work as a Senior Applications Developer for Oracle. I've worked for PeopleSoft & Oracle for 7 years. I am married to my beautiful wife of 6 years, Rosemary, and we have 2 kids. As of December 2007, Matthew is 5 and Christina is 2 years old.

My Interests

I like listening to all kinds of music but my favorite band is U2. I like going to movies and concerts. I entertain my 2 kids by playing my guitar. I enjoy traveling on my mountain bike or running no where on a treadmill. I play volleyball and raquetball. I enjoy an occassional joke and the humor of Dilbert cartoons.

The longest race I've run in terms of distance AND time is The Relay in which my team ran 199 miles in 27 hours 40 minutes. I've run only four half marathons: 2004 Lake Tahoe, 2006 Run Like The Wind in San Ramon, 2007 Primo's Run for Education in Danville and 2007 KKIQ Grape Stomp in Livermore. The fastest I've run is a 6:45 minute/mile pace in the local Dublin St. Patrick's Day 5K race. I also completed a 10K race at a sub 7 min/mile pace. Recently, I ran my first marathon at the 2007 California International Marathon in an 8 min/mile pace. I finished in 3 hours 29 minutes and 27 seconds. I'll take a break with shorter races and continue to train throughout the year to qualifiy for the 2009 Boston Marathon.

I have 2 sisters and 1 brother with 6 nephews and 3 nieces.

I've road-tripped across the US and traveled to Rome, Naples, and Venice in Italy.
