Welcome to the year 2000! What a let down huh? Well sorry I haven't posted those Auto Show pics yet, we have been out promoting the club so much I haven't been able to get the pics developed yet! Well when those pics show up the members page will also be updated also. This may leave some of you hardcore japanese fans out there disapointed. WHY? Some of the cars featured will be european. Now I know what your saying, doesn't Dori Zoku sound a little japanese? Ya well as long as I see interest in drifting i'll let those euro guys join in the fun. FWD can drift to, just gotta use the ol' left foot.
After that said thanks for checkin out the site, we just hit our 500 mark. FYI, the e-mail address has changed. It is now DORIZOKU@hotmail.com . ------CLUB OVERVIEW------
Welcome to Dori Zoku everyone! Thanx for visiting our site I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell everyone what we are all about. We are a new club based in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle area) and we are basically just a bunch of friends that have gotten tired of the same old import scene up here I mean it gets old real quick running the quarter over and over no disrespect to those of you who love it we just wanted to get back to what our car's are designed to do !!!CORNERS!!! In Japan one of the most popular streeet racing cars is the 85-86 corolla gts or "Hachiroku" due to its excellent road handling capabilities and that rare nature that just makes it a drivers car not to mention that it is relatively cheap and the performance market is flooded with goodies for it. In the states the car never really found the niche it realized in Japan although there are a few enthusiasts that have hot rodded them.We are not purely dedicated to the Hachi no matter how much we might want to be due to the lack of suitable cars available. Our main goal is to create an organization that will be able to set up backroad drifting sessions similar to those found in Japan because in this case there is a lot more fun to be found in numbers. So if any of you are interested in this form of racing drop a line we need all the members we can get (except domestic shit boxes!) have fun we will be updating often so ad us to your favorites list.
