Classic Trucks Homepage
Welcomes you from Seattle
I am a longtime advocate for the more nostalgic era when V8 power ruled and you didn't get dents in your automobile by looking too hard at the clean smooth lines. And you didn't need a computer in your garage to tell you your doors aren't closed. Recently I have narrowed my visions to late model American trucks. I am currently restoring and customizing my '68 GMC 1/2 ton long bed pickup. When I started on it the only thing there was an empty cab and the frame. So I have put it together a piece at a time. So far I've converted it to a 350 V8 engine with a Edelbrock manifold, Holley 625 CFM carb, RV cam, headers with Cherry Bomb mufflers attached to dual exhaust, and plenty of chrome add-ons. Running with a Borg Warner performance shift assisted Turbo 350 tranny. The interior is my real pride and joy, made possible with the help of my brother the upholsterer. It sports 2 Porsche high back bucket seats, hand made custom console, and door panels done in black wool material with personalized logos in red stitching. The remainder of the interior is painted gloss black with silver instrument panels. The only thing left to do now is finish the body!!!!
