This index contains all references to the Southern Railway, its pre-grouping constituents, the nationalised "Southern Region" and the post-nationalisation companies (SWT, Connex South Central, etc), which I have found in my collection model railway magazines. This collection consists of:-

As well as Southern references, I have been including other articles of more general interest, such as the excellent articles on tools and techniques which appear in MRJ or used to appear in MORILL in the past, and British Railways standard locomotives and rolling stock. Sadly, I have not been consistent, and so these entries are by no means complete. However, I hope you will find them useful. I've included the occasional intruder from other regions, like the panniers that worked at Weymouth the Warships which worked the West of England Line. I hope you will forgive these transgressions. One day I will work through the collection again, but not for a while yet - I have a layout to build!
My friend Mike Watts has an excellent index of Southern scale drawings from his own magazine collection, which contains Model Railway News and older issues of the Model Railway Constructor which I do not have. Between our two indexes, if you're interested in the Southern, you'll probably find what you want, if it exists.
