AUGUSTA News Release&emdash;

The Veterans Affairs health-care services at Togus and VA community-based clinics now are available to higher-income veterans without service-connected disabilities. Formerly, such services were available only to veterans with service-connected conditions or to veterans with incomes falling below set thresholds, according to a VA news release. Higher-income veterans now may be provided care if they agree to a co- payment. Walter Foster, chief of medical administration service, said in the release that veterans may find that the VA co-payment is covered by their individual health-care insurance.
