Early acting
info: As a 14 - year - old, Shane toured Sweden and Denmark with
school productions of Shakespeare. While studying law at Trinity
College, Dublin, he continued to act while managing Trinity
Theatre. His professional career began with playing Hamlet in
1969. His later stage performance in London's West End,
"Children of the Wolf", was critically acclaimed. He
had originally created this role at the Dublin Theatre Festival.
First film
debut: Shane made his film debut in Hammer films' 1971 gothically
styled, psychological horror film " Demons of the
Mind".
