Well I see I've done NOTHING on these pages on about a
year. Perhaps It's time to straighten them out. Well, it's been a pretty dismal year for B5. TNT's support for the show pretty much dried up, and now all we have to look forward to is the Sci-Fi Channel picking up the reruns in September. Crusade never found a second home. It appears to have been a good show that didn't make it. I guess that happens a lot. It's been a brutal year for B5 merchandise as well. The word for the year has been "Cancelled". While I don't mind having to spend _all_ my money on B5 stuff anymore, I miss being able to. As far as I can tell, we are done with B5 trading cards (that's a guess), clothing (not a guess, all licenses have expired for the US), Magazines (the last one is coming soon), and a host of individual items that have vanished, one at a time. Even the Sierra PC game "Into the Fire" was cancelled, after a big promotion by Sierra (4 different promotion items, and previews of the game at conventions). Still slight hopes someone will buy the remains of it and publish it. The Laserdisc market was annhiliated by DVD's last year, and stopped the B5 Laserdisc release around the halfway point. Perhaps they will get their act together and get B5 on DVD this year. The Fan Club has pretty much stopped making stuff to sell, except for reprints of scripts. No toys are in the offering now, except for the 4th wave of Exclusive Premiere 6" figures. There were delayed about 8 months, and presumably are the last of them. |
A new era in B5 stuff, well kinda. My Crusade collectibles page has started.
