Quick comments about the OMIS department

I feel that the OMIS program here at NIU is going to prepare me for my career once I graduate. I think that most of the OMIS classes I have taken are among my most interesting classes, as well as some that have been among my least favorite. My final semester classes that I am finally getting to take seem like they may be the most interesting.

Business Telecommunications course

Business Telecommnications will, I think, be valuable in that it will help to provide a better understanding at how everything works together within our communications systems. I would also hope to learn more about what technology might hold for the future. I think having an understanding of how everything works will provide insight into what systems work best for different situations. Already we have gotten into the basics of web page design which is something I was planning to do on my own. I think being able to understand the basics will make future understanding and learning easier.

Most important things learned in the OMIS Department
Why I am looking forward to graduating from the OMIS program
  1. Start making money
  2. Be able to apply what I have learned in college
  3. Being finished with school, maybe.
  4. Taking more responsibility for myself.
  5. Having money to spend and save.
