Claude Rains married Isabel Jeans in 1913. They divorced in 1915.

Isabel Jeans was born on September 16, 1891. She died at age 93 on September 4, 1985. Ms Jeans had a long career as an actress on the stage and in the movies. Her film career stretched from the 1917 silent film The Profligate to 1972 where she played the Dowager Duchess in the Lord Peter Wimsey mini series Clouds Of Witness. Notable roles were Mrs. Newsham in Alfred Hitchcock's Suspicion and Larita Filton in a very early Hitchock silent film Easy Virtue. Her first talkie picture was The Return Of The Rat (1929). Her first movie top billing was in Rolling in Money (1934) where she played the Duchess of Braceborough. She was Aunt Alicia in Gigi (1958). Ms Jeans also appeared in the earlier 1948 version of Gigi in an uncredited role.
