NEW ZEALAND CINEMAS - Westland Province
Located on the West Coast of the South Island, stretching from the Nelson Province to Southland. Westland is known for its rich coal fields, altough many are now closed and the bush has taken back the land. Westland had at one time more hotels than any other province per population. Westland is a great place to visit and explore among the many ghost towns and relics of the past. Many of the towns no longer exist making track cinema history harder. No multi-plex operate in Westland. Currently (1998)  three cinemas operate in three towns.
