Shannen Doherty

Shannen Marie Doherty

Born: 12 April 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee, where she lived until she was seven.

As a child, Doherty was a loner. "I had more fun playing by myself than with anybody else," she says. "I guess I was born that way. But at the same time, I was outgoing. I did all these plays, and when I was in Tennessee, I was active in the church. But I never really had sleep-overs. I always wanted my time away from others."

When she was seven, the family moved to Los Angeles, and Doherty became interested in acting. "I used to watch Little House on the Prairie. And I wanted to work with Michael Landon really desperately." As did many a little girl, but Doherty had the incredible determination, good fortune, or both, to actually end up on Little House.

Appeared a couple of times partially nude in Playboy magazine; one image in Dec. 1993 others in safer sex spread March 1994.

Was removed from the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 at end of 4th season. because of constant conflicts with other cast members and repeatedly late appearances on the set. Infuriated William Friedkin 1994 when she failed to turn up for the first day of shooting Jailbreakers in Hollywood. Shannen, as it turned out, had just returned from Italy, where she'd caused trouble by turning up late for an interview on a talk-show.

The September issue of Elle has a six-page fashion spread with Shannen modeling the mod-inspired Gianni Versace line.

She was married to Ashley Hamilton (September 1993 - 1994) Looks like she had a boob job in 1993. Doherty's mostly been staying in with her boyfriend of a year and a half, 28-year-old Rob Weiss. But it seems (according to "INSIDE SOAP" a UK magazine) Shannen has split from Rob. It is supposed to be an amicable split in which Shannen and Rob have just grown apart.

Shannen is said to be getting up to her old tricks again. A UK magazine said that she was thrown out of a Hollywood bar for picking a fight with another customer. Whats more, Shannen smashed a bottle of beer across a car and as there was someone sitting in the car at the time, she may now be up on assault charges.
