Erin J. Dean got her start in show business in an unusual way for an eleven-year old kid: she became a stand-up comedian. Erin followed her mom to an improv class and wound up onstage, cracking people up.
Comedy led to acting for Erin. She's been in TV shows, stage plays, and even in the movie A Pig's Tale. When Erin's not on stage, she plays bass and sings backup in her band Null Set, which means 'a problem without a solution'.
These days, Erin's biggest problem is getting ready for college, where she plans to study design and photography.
Erin's character
When you're an alien alone on a strange planet, you really need someone you can trust. For Allen, that person is Robbie. She was the first human who reached out to help Allen, and she has become his best friend on Earth. Allen's lucky to have Robbie as his guide to Earth. She's smart, independent, and she can really keep a secret.
Maybe they're so close because they have something in common; they both know what it means to miss something. Allen misses his family who's living on another planet, and Robbie misses her mom who's living in San Francisco.
News
Erin, being the Big-Helper that she is, volunteered her time October 17 at Pan-Pacific Park in LA. Erin says a park is not a park without trees and dogs. She also told us her favorite tv snack is saltine crackers and ritz crackers.
Biography
Erin was born in Kennewick, Washington, on October 18, 1980. She was a very creative child and liked to have fun! Among some of her pastimes were going to the beach, visiting theme parks, and playing dress-up. She was very outgoing and had a great personality. Because of this, she was a natural when it came to acting! At only 6 years old, Erin tried her first acting job. She had a great ability to pretend. After about a year, she lost interest, but after attending some comedy shows where her mother performed, she had a desire to act again.
At age eleven, she did some stand-up comedy and auditioned for "America's Funniest People." She won second place there. After her big win, she started searching for an agent. After signing with the Cosden Agency, jobs started coming her way!
Her first role was on "America's Most Wanted." She also played in a remake of Lolita in 1996. This was an enjoyable and memorable time for Erin. She has even guest starred on the popular show, "Boy Meets World."
