Welcome into.........
Where nobody cries, and no one is to get outta here alive.........
How it all began......
Well.... the story is simple..... what happened to be a try-out jamming turned out to be a great success in the history of rock. In the early 1980s, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora formed a band. And later on old-time buddies Ticco Torres and Alec John Such joined in the band. With the debut single 'Runaway' in the 'Bon Jovi' album at 1984, these guys from New Jersey gained tremendous popularity with radio stations and soon hit big time in the scene.
Then??
Their follow up album, '7800 Fahrenheit' did not received great feed back as their debut album. And very unlike 'Bon Jovi', which received multiple platinum status. But with the push forward of their third album, 'Slippery When Wet', the guys are on track again with hits and fame. In the 'Slippery When Wet' album, the hit song 'Livin' On A Prayer' became instant hit. And following that, 'New Jersey' hit the market a few years later. Then Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi both separately produced their solo album. With Sambora's 'Stranger In Town' and Jon Bon Jovi's 'Blaze Of Glory'. In 1991, 'Keep The Faith' scored a big success for Bon Jovi as it achieve multi -platinum status.
Now......
Although it is said that the band is splitting up.... but there is still no sign of it. And Jon Bon Jovi has already came up with his second solo effort following the highly successful track 'Blaze Of Glory' in 1990. With his latest single 'Midnight In Chelsea', which with a thick blend of pop, Jon Bon Jovi seems to have found new heights in his music. No news of Bon Jovi coming up with their latest after 'These Days' in 1995.
Bon Jovi is my all time favorite band after Guns N' Roses..... although this two band has no similarity at all, but they feature the best ever guitarists and bassist of all time. Or should I said they use to be....
If one should ask me who is my favorite guitarist, I will have to give the credits to Richie Sambora, the lead guitarist of Bon Jovi. He is simply marvelous on the axe. Have you seen him playing life before?? Better hold on to those oxygen tanks, he just grabs your breath away!! And who would forget Alec John Such, the former bassist of Bon Jovi, one of the best bassist I know. It's a sad thing he had to leave the band. It is said that he and Jon are not getting well together... so Jon sacked him. Anyway we are yet to see the proof of this allegation.
My favorite Bon Jovi songs came mostly from their previous albums. They are (not in order of priority) You give Love A Bad Name, Keep the Faith, Bed Of Roses, In These Arms, Dry County and These Days. I love the way they look in the 'Keep The Faith' album. Especially after watching the music video of 'Dry County', I was totally spell-bounded by Richie's axe skills and Jon's powerful vocals. All in all...... these four guys (originally five) are just great!! :)
