Sheriff Ed Galt (Bruce Dern): Do yourself a favor. First thing get a firearm.

Bartender Joe Monday (William Sanderson): What the hell are you doing?
John Smith (Bruce Willis): See the fellas that wrecked my car, have a little talk with them.

Joe: Last time I saw you you were gonna have a talk with some fellas. Next thing I here one of em's dead.
John: Conversation sort of went downill.

John: It might be a good time for you guys to give up.

John: I thought you might hold it against me, me killing three of your guys.
Doyle (David Patrick Kelly): It's the only cure I know for being stupid.

Doyle: What the hell are you holding back for? You think the meek are gonna inherit the earth?

John: It's not your fault Georgio's a half whit. You really want to get killed for a half whit?

Doyle's goon: Just sitting out in the open just might not be a real good Idea for a fella with as many enemies as you got.
John: Why don't everybody like me? I'm such a nice guy.

Captain Jon Picket (Ken Jenkins): And what we got here in Jerico is just waaaaaay outta hand.

Captain Jon Picket: I'm conning back here in 10 days. I'm gonna bring about 20 rangers with me. I will tolerate one gang, but if I find two gangs here when I get back, than in a couple of hours there will be no gangs here.

Captain Jon Picket: That's fine to son. Kill as many as you want.

Sheriff: You know something amigo, I think I just spotted the chink in your armor. When you go down, it's gonna be over a skirt.

John: (as the narrator) The only thing I knew for sure was this: Strazzi, Doyle, and every son-of-a-bitch that worked for 'em. They were all gonna be better off dead.

Car Mechanic: Come next week, I'm getting the hell out. Ther aint no business here. This town is finished.

Hickey (Christopher Walken): He's nothin' without a gun.

John: (as the narrator) What the hell, every body ends up dead, just a matter of when. (gun shots)

Hickey: You gonna kill me to?
Joe: No, don't worry. I'm all done. I'm just gonna watch.

Hickey: I don't want to die in Texas. Chicago mayby. You can meet me there if you want and try to kill me.
