Field Of Dreams

    heaven.wav(111K)
Shoeless Joe: Hey... is this heaven?
    Ray: No. It's Iowa.
    so_cool.wav(45K)
    Ray: That is so cool.....
    baseball.wav(461K)
James Earl Jones, as famous 60's writer Terrance Mann, talking to Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner): The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.
    catch.wav(203K)
    Ray: (choking back tears)
Hey... Dad?.... you wanna have a catch?
    Dad: I'd like that...
    crazy.wav(179K)
Ray: I'm 36 years old, I love my family, I love baseball, and I'm about to become a farmer. But until I heard the voice, I'd never done a crazy thing in my whole life.
    ilogicl.wav(33K)
Ray: I have just created something totally illogical.
    thevoice.wav(39K)
    The Voice:
If you build it, he will come.
    ty_cobb.wav(89K)
Shoeless Joe Jackson: Ty Cobb wanted to play. None of us could stand the sonofabitch when we were alive so we told him to stick it! (laughs).
    why_14.wav(331K)
Ray: By the time I was 10, playing baseball got to be like eating vegetables or taking out the garbage. So when I was 14 I started to refuse. Do you believe that? An American boy refusing to have a catch with his father?
    Mann: Why 14?
Ray: That's when I read "The Boatrocker", by Terrance Mann.
    Mann: Oh, God.
Ray: Never played catch with him again.
Mann: You see? That's the kind of crap people always try to lay on me! It's not my fault you wouldn't play catch with your father.
