The Drill:
A group of us, Virgil, David, Iris, and myself arrived in Las Vegas airport 2 days before the show started. We managed to find the booth materials and with great difficulty transported them to their respective locations. Our company had two booths, one in South Hall and one in North Hall plus a private suite at the Hilton. After the grueling set up, I had to cram product knowledge into my head, as this was my first time looking at them.
I will always remember Virgil's Super human effort and the way he held everything together. He was organized and was in meetings at the same time talking to potential customers, selling samples and picking up people from the airport, getting all the logistics down for everyone. Virgil, if you are reading this, I think you are awesome!
All of us were basically running on very little sleep the entire week because we were up until 2am and had to wake up around 5am.
The Fun Stuff!
I saw Tony Hawk and Dave Mirra walk past our booth without a mob of people following behind or any security! What is up with that! I could have stuck my hand out and touched one of them...! Heeeeello.
The Venetian was also having a convention at the same time as CES. Their's sure attracted a large crowd. It was either the porn award show or the Porn star convention. Hey, I got to see some of those porn stars walk down the red carpet one night!!!
