(My first self-composed song - on guitar..*grin*)
Freedom (Let go)
I feel the morning it is coming again
brings back the echo from when I slammed the door behind me.
I never realized how good it would feel
to touch the night without your presence all around me.
I wake up early and kiss the sun’s lips
walk cross the room I always liked before you came.
I can feel satisfied with my reflection in a tablespoon
without you here, without you calling my forgotten name.
This is my freedom
So let go of me
Our days together ended
with the fading flowers on your table
You forgot to give them water
So let go
Don’t need your too strong coffee
I just need a place to sit without your eyes on me.
Don’t need your too sweet teacups anymore
I feel my thoughts turning away from you and beckon me.
This is my freedom
So let go of me
Our days together ended
with the fading flowers on your table
You forgot to give them water
So let go
Don’t speak of what once were
I don’t need your ghostly words no more.
I just remember you what you never were
I’ve closed the door now, but I still feel sore.
‘Cause this is my freedom
So let go of me
Our days together ended
with the fading flowers on your table
You forgot to give them water
So let go
let go
of me
