My Personal Comments
- I know him from some movies but especially like him as Judge Henry Bone in the TV hit series "Picket Fences"
- Ray died at home with his wife Ruth at his side
- Ray married Ruth Calvert on 3. November 1943...they have one daughter, Katherine Ann
- once it was said, that he gets a TV series together with Fyvush Finkel, who was Douglas Wambaugh on "Picket Fences", but I never heard or read about this project again
- at his 1995 Emmy acceptance speech he said:"I have 30 seconds to tell you I have been waiting 60 years to get on this stage!"
