My Personal Comments
- another one of my all time favourite actors
- he has a daughter, Julie Marie (* 1989) from his short relationship with the dancer Jan Terrant
- has twins (* January 2001) with his girlfriend Beverly D'Angelo
- he is the son of Salvatore Pacino, an insurance salesman, and Rose Pacino
- his father Salvatore left his mother, and his parents were divorced when Al was 2 years old
- he has a strange relationship with his father...all that Al says, when asked is, that there was no real relationship, but that he never completely lost contact with his father
- was raised by his mother and grandparents...his grandmother always took him out, to the movies, when Al was young
- when Al had his first "big" role, he took his grandmother and his aunt to the first screening of "The Godfather"
- his mother, Rose, died when Al was 22 years old...she was just 43 years old
- one of Alīs grandfathers, the father of Rose died a year after Rose died
- Alīs two best friends both died before Al was 30 years old
- good friends with Robert DeNiro since both met in 1969
- was very close friends with his teacher and mentor Lee Strasberg (* 1901 - + 1982)
- Pacino turned down roles in "Apocalypse Now" (1979), "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979), "Absence of Malice" (1981), "Wall Street" (1987), "Pretty Woman" (1990), and was offered the leading role in "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989), in 1979....ten years before the project was realized with Tom Cruise as Ron Kovic
