- one of the very few actors who is also good as director/producer...in my humble opinion
- my favourite movies with him include "No Way Out" (1987), "JFK" (1991), "A Perfect World" (1993), "Message in a Bottle" (1999)
- Kevin is the third child of Bill and Sharon Costner
- has an older brother Dan (* 1950), and another brother died at birth in 1953
- Kevin was married to Cindy Silva (1978 - 1994, divorced)
- has three kids with Silva: Annie (* 1984), Lily (* 1987) and Joe (* 1988)
- Kevin has another son, Liam (* 1996) with Bridget Rooney
