- since 19. August 1993 she´s married to actor Alec Baldwin (* 03. April 1958)
- has one daughter with Baldwin: Ireland Eliesse (* 23. October 1995)
- was formerly married to Ron Britton (1980 - 1989, divorced), who sued Basinger for divorce
- Basinger and Baldwin worked only in two movies together: "The Marrying Man" (1991) and "The Getaway" (1994)
- she turned down the role of Catherine Tramell in "Basic Instinct" (1992), that later went to Sharon Stone
- Kim has two brothers (Mick and Skip) and two sisters (Ashley and Barbara)
- her father, Don, landed at Normandy at D-Day, her mother´s name is Ann
