- his father is Edmund Bacon, a Philadelphia city planner, and his mothers name is Ruth (deceased)
- Kevin has a brother, Michael, a musician
- on "Larry King Live" (18. July 1998), Sir Anthony Hopkins said, that Kevin Bacon is one of his favourite actors
- he´s married to Kyra Sedgwick since 1988
- has a son, Travis (* 1989), and a daughter, Sosie Ruth (* 1992) with Sedgewick
