Someone else has suggested he might be William Lafayette Kidd, born 1842 Old Campbell Co, GA, brother of Oliver Culwell Kidd b.1845 Old Campbell Co, GA....however their father was given to me as Oliver Calhoun Kidd, not Oliver Culwell Kidd, but the senior Oliver had a sister Sarah, born 1827, who married Thomas Elbert Patterson and moved to Rome, A, and that maybe her nephew William was my William, and followed her there to NW Georgia (Rome). That's why your information is so interesting - it's so close!!! Maybe we are connected! Do you have a spouse for the Sarah Kidd born 1827 sister of Olive Culwell on your list? Could this be correct? I think she could possibly be the daughter of Stephen Haynes, son of Jasper Haynes. Stephen died in 1796 in Elbert Co. His brother, Mose Hunt, was Administrator of his will and guardian of his children, of which there was a Mary.
