dreams never come true.
At night,
I look up into the sky and wish on the brightest star,
this too, I was told was only a waste of my inner self.
Wishes,
like dreams are just my way of dealing with reality.
The reality is that my dreams keep me alive inside,
giving me something to live for.
People never truly tell you now they feel,
or exacty what is on their minds.
Maybe the sky above is just a figment of my imagination,
along with my hopes and dreams.
I believe that as dusk turns into dawn,
eventually, I will have to remove my mask,
end my charade and make all my wishes and dreams come true.
