CONGRATULATION TO TOM COOLEY
A guy once told my husband after he retired that if he was to think about going back to work to sit down for a minute and the urge would go away. Our Thomas R. Cooley, now retired, doesn't believe in that way of thinking. Formerly the city manager of Bonner Springs and the city administrator of Edwardsville, Tom has now been appointed as the new commissioner of the 7th District on the Unified Board of Commissioners of Wyandotte County/Kansas city, Kansas. The commission approved a resolution to unanimously appoint Cooley to the position.
Tom has 29 years of public service behind him, but this will be the first time he has served in an elective position. Congratulations Tom, the Class of ‘60 is proud of you.
