I finally took the big step and reserved a room and bought airline tickets today! I am coming from central Virginia. I survived a mild TBI on August 8, 1998 when I flew out of a boat going 60mph and hit the water head first. I look the same as I used to, but now I fatigue easy, get lots of headaches, and don't tolerate light, noise, and too much visual stimuli. I'm so excited about meeting all of you, I'm about to bust! As far as what I enjoy doing, anything near water is fine with me, and it looks as if there is water everywhere you look in Victoria, so I should be in my glory :) Here's to good friends!!!

My name is Shauna Ryall and I was injured 2 years ago on May 2, 1997. I received a basal skull fracture, a concussion, and a ruptured eardrum. I am coming from the BC area, Abbotsford, where I live with my great hubby as well as my 3 kids (who are also coming to Brainbash). I have most of the typical "post concussion" problems as well a few others. I am really excited to be able to do a 3D chat soon with everyone.
Hugs! Shauna/Bunny

Spiked Heels
I'm Kathi... aka Spiked Heels.

In '94 I had a whiplash-like injury resulting in many left sided problems. Facial numbness, incoordination, hemiparisis, left leg and arm numbness along with a cervical strain. Felt like a was missing a piece of the pie... but not sure what was really missing. I had enough symptoms that the doctors believed I had MS due to my age and the onset of the symptoms, but NO objective evidence showing that I did. Then in '97 I fell on a flight of stairs. All my physical symptoms flared and lucky me added cognitive and behavioral symptoms as well. I'm "Invisible".... so I don't appear to be BI.

I love sports and have participated in them my whole life. Volleyball is my favorite. I'm fortunate that I can still play using a lot of compensatory skills. Looking forward to playing a bit with DianA's friends while at the brainbash. Just recently I started to paint with watercolors. I plan to do a little painting while I'm in Victoria as well.

I made my flight and hotel reservations !! My Mom (Sherry) and niece (Julianne) will be joining me. They are riding the train from Southern California. I'll meet them in Seattle and we'll ferry over to Victoria. I can't wait to meet all of you, especially Diana!!!

I'm on the WORKING list. What other lists are you on??
