Delmas Lee Hybarger
1910 - 1999

D.L. Hybarger passed away on April 18,1999.
He was born on July 17 1910 in Pineland,Tx.
Mr. Hybarger graduated from Stephen F. Austin State College
and moved to Beaumont where he lived the rest of his life.
He was the principal of Edwards Elementary,
French Jr. High and French High School,
before becoming a Professor of Education at Lamar University.
His career in education spanned 48 years.
He is well remembered and greatly loved by "his kids".
Mr. Hybarger was a veteran of World War II,
serving with the Merchant Marines.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church
and served as a Beaumont city councilman.
Mr. Hybarger played semipro baseball as a very young man
and followed baseball the rest of his life.
A loving and patient father, he had 3 children with his former wife,
Dorothy Stauts Hybarger,
They are, Dianne Sudduth, Nancy Hybarger Ledet( who preceded him in death)
and Charles "Chuck" Hybarger.

He is also survived by a sister, Lois Hybarger Forster,
son in law, Dan Sudduth, daughter in law, Sharon Hybarger, 8 grandchildern, and numberous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hybarger loved his years at French and considered French "his"
and the students "his kids".
I was told he remembered all of you and could sit and tell stories for hours.
