Pack 40 General News

Cub Pack 40 Makes the News!

tv.jpg (8920 bytes) Thanks to everyone that participated in the Mill Creek Park Cleanup.
What a surprise! Waiting for us at the parking lot was WYTV television.
They interviewed Mrs.Carol Foley and followed us along the road for " fill shots".
So, waitch for Pack 40 on WYTV at  6 & 11 on Sat, April 24th. We're stars!

Where did the web site come from?

Well, it seems that both Mr. Jim Farmakis & Mr. Roger Foley had the idea of the web site and... when they found out that the idea belonged to more than one person... it quickly became a reality.
Since Mr. Foley is in the web site design business, he put the site together. Mr. Eric Peterson consented to using his name for the hosting space at Geocities and will be involved in light maintenance of the pages with the help of Mr. Farmakis. By dividing up the maintenance of the site, as opposed to one person doing it all, we'll be able to have multiple people to keep it going. This will help to insure that the thing gets attention when needed.

We hope that the web site will be an easy reference for you and help to insure that those with computer access will be well informed. We also hope that you folks will help keep those without the luxury of computer access better informed, as well.

Oh, in case you're wondering why there is advertising on the pages, this is how we get the free web space. There is a simular ad on all Geocities sites. The banners are inserted automaticlly. We have no control over them. We've selected "kid safe" ads only, but parents might want to instruct your cubs not to click on the ad banners. It's not a big deal, it's just a precaution. There is a lot worse to deal with on the major search engines. Looked at about 200 of the banners and except for the casino ads, nothing offensive or concerning has ever come up.

It was fun putting it together. Hope you enjoy. Always open to suggestions.
If  you know of anyone looking to build a commercial web site...... oh, just wondering.
