Hi there. My name is Heidi and I am an adorable Golden Retriever. My mom is Nancy and my big brother is Brian. We live in the little town of Fall River near Halifax in Nova Scotia in eastern Canada. I am so lucky that we moved recently to a lovely house in a wooded area beside the lake.
       My mom or Brian takes me out for a stroll to the lake early every morning. My mom is an excellent housekeeper, so I always have to towel dry my feet when I come back inside before I walk on the carpet. They don't have to do that, but then they don't go barefoot.

      I certainly can't complain about my life. It is quite comfortable, really. I have the run of the house, and the couch, especially when my favourite show is on TV.

        I usually sleep with Mom and it is quite upsetting and traumatic when my Aunt Steph comes to visit and she sleeps in Mom's bed and no one tells me. What a shock when I crawled in! And did I ever move out fast when Aunt Steph yelled, "Nancy, Heidi is in my bed". She did not realize that it is Mom's and my bed, not hers. But, she left after a couple of days and things got back to normal - until the next time the relatives come to visit. I think my Aunt Deborah understands me better, because she has a dog of her own- a beautiful black dog named Hobo.

        My big brother Brian pays lots of attention to me too.

He is 17 and a really cool hockey player and we have great fun together.


       My mom is going on her first trip to Europe next week and, boy, is she ever excited! Look for some of her favourite pictures when she comes back.
