My Beautiful Daughter
It seems as tho it were only yesterday
I was watching this precious little body
"Mama" was the first word to hear you say
You were still special even when naughty
Oh did you ever like to sneak out to play
You loved to entertain the cows in pasture
Oh my exceptionally clever Melaine Renee'
You always needed something to master
Watching you grow from this beautiful baby
It was as though time kept going faster
Soon before my eyes there was no maybe
You had grown into this lovely young lady
With your charisma and intelligence you see
I know you can be or do anything and go far
Whatever you do don't you dare be a fraidy
Be proud and know that you need not be a star
Remember our Creator is how we came to be
With his help you can be a healthy happy Lady
