Engagement Day News Saturday August 22, 1998 |

On Saturday August 22, 1998, Daniel and Anabelle held a special engagement ceremony at the home of Mr & Mrs Johnny Lieuson, Anabelle's parents. Ceremony started at 4:30 p.m. Immediate family and special guests were present. Deacon Edwin Shu opened with a prayer of thanksgiving and praise. Pastor Paul Wang officiated the ceremony and shared a few words with us. Verse for us to keep, Jeremiah 31:3, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness". Songs to warm our hearts included, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "In His Time" with Daniel's sister, Joyce,
providing the music on the piano. Exchange of tokens included a diamond engagement ring that Daniel carefully placed on Anabelle's ring finger and a Gucci watch for Daniel that Anabelle's Dad secured around Daniel's left wrist. |

Pastor Paul Wang offered the benediction to closed the ceremony before moving on to the tea ceremony. Respectfully, Anabelle hands a cup of tea to Daniel's dad and then Daniel does the same to Anabelle's parents. Then tea is also served to the special guests by Anabelle and Daniel. Moving on, Daniel & Anabelle proceeds to the cutting of the mocca flavored sponge cake from Anna's Bakery that says, "Happy Engagement, Daniel & Anabelle". |

To help record this special occasion,
Anabelle's brother Rossano
snapped lots of well orchestrated pictures while Daniel's brother,Justin videotaped the event so for years down the road, we have something to remember of this special day in our lives. Lots of red roses and special flower arrangements provided by family and friends added color and fragrance to the home. And to complete the evening? A big chinese banquet at the Cambie Flamingo Restaurant. We thank all our family and friends for all your love and support through the years and for joining us on this special occassion. |
