Even though I am not currently active in either breeding or exhibiting Afghan Hounds, they still hold both my interest and my heart. Here are a few of my kids-- both past and present.
These are just a few of my 'kids' over the years... Crazy Abby is still wilth us, but has slowed a bit at age 12- she can only jump up TO my shoulder now! ... Cheeze-mon, never really IN coat for show, is the 'man' of the house now... and steals all the Cresteds stuffed toys.
Remember this is NOT a breed for everyone--they have special needs and are a high maintenance breed needing more grooming and kenneling needs than most. Having strong, demanding personalities, they CAN be a challenge to the novice dog owner. People who select this breed should be aware of their needs and dedicated to them... they are then rewarded by this truly KING of dogs!

I stronly support Afghan Hound Rescue- unfortunately more than a few Afghans fall into situations when they need re-homing. Dedicated people do a fine job taking in and placing homeless companions.
