1. Washington Lee¹ Winstead⁽³⁶⁰⁾ was born Hopkins County, Kentucky Oct. 22, 1865. Washington died Feb. 11, 1901 Sherman, Texas, at 35 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 11, 1901 Grayson County, Texas, West Hill Cemetery.

He married May Merle Tutt Sherman, Texas, Aug. 21, 1890. May was born Texas July 11, 1872. May⁽³⁶¹⁾ was the daughter of Montgomery Royston Tutt and Rosa Florence Thomas. May died Dec. 25, 1951 Dallas, Texas, at 79 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Dec. 25, 1951 Sherman, Grayson County, Texas, West Hill Cemetery. At 18 years of age May became the mother of Charles Batsell Winstead Sherman, Texas, May 25, 1891. At 21 years of age May became the mother of Glendon E. Winstead Sherman, Texas, Sept. 1893. At 23 years of age May became the mother of Annie Estelle Winstead Sherman, Texas, March 6, 1896. At 27 years of age May became the mother of Edna Lee Winstead Sherman, Texas, Sept. 1899.

At 25 years of age Washington became the father of Charles Batsell Winstead Sherman, Texas, May 25, 1891. At 27 years of age Washington became the father of Glendon E. Winstead Sherman, Texas, Sept. 1893. At 30 years of age Washington became the father of Annie Estelle Winstead Sherman, Texas, March 6, 1896. At 33 years of age Washington became the father of Edna Lee Winstead Sherman, Texas, Sept. 1899.

Washington Lee Winstead and May Merle Tutt had the following children:

2 i. Charles Batsell² Winstead⁽³⁶²⁾ was born Sherman, Texas May 25, 1891. Charles died Aug. 3, 1973 Albuquerque, New Mexico, at 82 years of age. He married twice. He married Geogia Elizabeth Gartrell abt. 1915. Geogia was born Missouri abt. 1881. He married Maude Aleene Savage Aug. 9, 1970. Maude was born Whitewright, Texas July 27, 1894. Maude was the daughter of Charles Edward Savage and Flora Belle Payne. Maude died Jan. 29, 1977 Sherman, Texas, at 82 years of age. At 22 years of age Maude became the mother of Joseph William Thorn Sherman, Texas, May 19, 1917. At 31 years of age Maude became the mother of Thomas Payne Thorn Delaware Bend, Texas, Dec. 30, 1925.

3 ii. Glendon E. Winstead was born Sherman, Texas Sept. 1893.

4 iii. Annie Estelle Winstead⁽³⁶³⁾ was born Sherman, Texas March 6, 1896. She married Felix Drake Sept. 1917. Felix was born 1894.

5 iv. Edna Lee Winstead was born Sherman, Texas Sept. 1899. Edna died Oct. 14, 1901.
