He married Alice Margaret Arnold 1950. Alice was born Bismark, North Dakota May 5, 1921. Alice was the daughter of Harold Clinton Arnold and Myra Alice Newkirk. Alice died May 30, 1997 Springfield, Lane County, Oregon, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred aft. May 30, 1997 Springfield, Lane County, Oregon, Camp Creek Cemetery. At 34 years of age Alice became the mother of Ernest "Jim" Valerio Kellogg, Idaho, Nov. 4, 1955. At 36 years of age Alice became the mother of David Valerio Fruita, Idaho, July 31, 1957. At 38 years of age Alice became the mother of Angela Valerio New Mexico, Nov. 1, 1959.

At 39 years of age Ernest became the father of Ernest "Jim" Valerio Kellogg, Idaho, Nov. 4, 1955. At 40 years of age Ernest became the father of David Valerio Fruita, Idaho, July 31, 1957. At 43 years of age Ernest became the father of Angela Valerio New Mexico, Nov. 1, 1959.

Ernest Valerio and Alice Margaret Arnold had the following children:
