Henry was born Erie County, Pennsylvania March 20, 1846. Henry was the son of Moses Cornwall Giddings and Sophia Stafford. Henry died Feb. 22, 1916 Warren County, Illinois, at 69 years of age. His body was interred aft. Feb. 22, 1916 Warren County, Illinois, Silent Home Cemetery.
