1. Thurman Russell¹ Scifres was born Star City, Lincoln County, Arkansas Nov. 14, 1916.

He married Connie Mae Vaughan Greenville, Washington County, Mississippi, April 12, 1942. Connie was born Calhoun County, Mississippi Nov. 16, 1922. Connie was the daughter of Howard Thomas Emerson Vaughan and Hassie Lorraine Harmon. Connie died Nov. 18, 1992 Houston, Harris County, Texas, at 70 years of age. Her body was interred aft. Nov. 18, 1992 Houston, Harris County, Texas, Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. At 20 years of age Connie became the mother of Billy Wayne Scifres Houston, Harris County, Texas, Feb. 23, 1943.

At 26 years of age Thurman became the father of Billy Wayne Scifres Houston, Harris County, Texas, Feb. 23, 1943.

Thurman Russell Scifres and Connie Mae Vaughan had the following children:

3 ii. Billy Wayne Scifres was born Houston, Harris County, Texas Feb. 23, 1943. Billy died 1947 Houston, Harris County, Texas, at 4 years of age. His body was interred 1947 Star City, Lincoln County, Arkansas.
