1. Benjamin C. H.¹ Townsend was born Ohio March 23, 1819. Benjamin died Dec. 3, 1877 Camp Grove, Stark County, Illinois, at 58 years of age.

He married Lydia Ann Jarman Pike County, Ohio, Dec. 10, 1844. Lydia was born Ohio Sept. 23, 1829. At 23 years of age Lydia became the mother of David Townsend Ohio, April 1853.

At 34 years of age Benjamin became the father of David Townsend Ohio, April 1853.

Benjamin C. H. Townsend and Lydia Ann Jarman had the following child:
