1. William Henry¹ Spears was born Sullivan County, Missouri abt. 1858.

He married Sarah Elizabeth Cliffton Sullivan County, Missouri, June 11, 1874. Sarah was born Sullivan County, Missouri May 8, 1858. Sarah was the daughter of John Hess Cliffton and Verlinda C. Pool. Sarah died Sept. 14, 1938 Yuma, Colorado, at 80 years of age. At 17 years of age Sarah became the mother of Clara Belle Spears Aug. 30, 1875. At 18 years of age Sarah became the mother of Lou Emma Spears April 7, 1877. At 20 years of age Sarah became the mother of Harry Otis Spears Jan. 13, 1879. At 22 years of age Sarah became the mother of Sherman Spears July 19, 1880. At 26 years of age Sarah became the mother of Charles William Spears July 31, 1884. At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of Floyd Agustus Spears Rawlins, Kansas, July 14, 1886. At 28 years of age Sarah became the mother of Bessie Spears Dec. 29, 1886. At 31 years of age Sarah became the mother of Alice Verlinda Spears May 16, 1889. At 33 years of age Sarah became the mother of Bertha Grace Spears Sept. 16, 1891. At 35 years of age Sarah became the mother of Ralph Eugene Spears Rawlins, Kansas, April 12, 1894. At 40 years of age Sarah became the mother of Hattie Florence Spears July 21, 1898.

At 17 years of age William became the father of Clara Belle Spears Aug. 30, 1875. At 18 years of age William became the father of Lou Emma Spears April 7, 1877. At 20 years of age William became the father of Harry Otis Spears Jan. 13, 1879. At 22 years of age William became the father of Sherman Spears July 19, 1880. At 26 years of age William became the father of Charles William Spears July 31, 1884. At 28 years of age William became the father of Floyd Agustus Spears Rawlins, Kansas, July 14, 1886. At 28 years of age William became the father of Bessie Spears Dec. 29, 1886. At 30 years of age William became the father of Alice Verlinda Spears May 16, 1889. At 33 years of age William became the father of Bertha Grace Spears Sept. 16, 1891. At 35 years of age William became the father of Ralph Eugene Spears Rawlins, Kansas, April 12, 1894. At 40 years of age William became the father of Hattie Florence Spears July 21, 1898.

William Henry Spears and Sarah Elizabeth Cliffton had the following children:

2 i. Clara Belle² Spears was born Aug. 30, 1875. She married Albert Smith abt. 1894.

3 ii. Lou Emma Spears was born April 7, 1877. Lou died July 28, 1884 at 7 years of age.

4 iii. Harry Otis Spears was born Jan. 13, 1879. Harry died July 28, 1884 at 5 years of age.

5 iv. Sherman Spears was born July 19, 1880.

6 v. Charles William Spears was born July 31, 1884.

7 vi. Floyd Agustus Spears was born Rawlins, Kansas July 14, 1886. Floyd died Aug. 1976 Colorado, at 90 years of age.

8 vii. Bessie Spears was born Dec. 29, 1886.

9 viii. Alice Verlinda Spears was born May 16, 1889.

10 ix. Bertha Grace Spears was born Sept. 16, 1891.

11 x. Ralph Eugene Spears was born Rawlins, Kansas April 12, 1894. Ralph died March 1971 Kelso, Cowlitz County, Washington.

12 xi. Hattie Florence Spears was born July 21, 1898.
