1. William¹ Springsteel birth date unknown.

He married Uriah Ann Lomax Knox County, Illinois, Aug. 31, 1851. Uriah was born Warren County, Kentucky March 20, 1833. Uriah was the daughter of William Taylor Lomax and Mary "Polly" Howard.

William Springsteel and Uriah Ann Lomax had the following children:

2 i. Mary L.² Springsteel. Mary died Cedar Township, Knox County, Illinois. Her body was interred Knox County, Illinois, Cherry Grove Cemetery.

3 ii. John Springsteel. John died Oct. 18, 1855 Cedar Township, Knox County, Illinois.
