1. Laurentius "Lorentz"¹ Schweissguth was born Weisbaden, Hesse, Germany Feb. 10, 1723/24. Laurentius died March 12, 1799 Paradise Township, York County, Pennsylvania, at 75 years of age.

He married Catherine Elizabeth Mayer Beirstadt, Germany, Aug. 16, 1746. Catherine was born Germany ca. 1730. Catherine died ca. 1760 Paradise Township, York County, Pennsylvania, at 30 years of age. At 22 years of age Catherine became the mother of Johann Adam Sweissgood York Village, York County, Pennsylvania, Aug. 1, 1752.

At 28 years of age Laurentius became the father of Johann Adam Sweissgood York Village, York County, Pennsylvania, Aug. 1, 1752.

Laurentius "Lorentz" Schweissguth and Catherine Elizabeth Mayer had the following child:
