He married Esther Lida White Oct. 4, 1936. Esther was born Denison, Grayson County, Texas June 30, 1906. Esther was the daughter of Dr. Madison Mills White and Lola Montez Bell. At 32 years of age Esther became the mother of Linda Jo Harshaw ca. 1938.

At 31 years of age Julius became the father of Linda Jo Harshaw ca. 1938.

Julius Claude Harshaw and Esther Lida White had the following child:

2 i. Linda Jo² Harshaw was born ca. 1938.
